But it’s not just about cities. Two of the newest and most ambitious branded developments are in superyacht marina resorts and will be offering branded residences – once they’ve found the right partner.
Hospitality-industry veteran Dmitry Bourtov owns Zamani Islands in the Maldives. The project (first phase opening in 2026) consists of eight islands, three resorts, the Maldives’ first superyacht marina and a collection of residences starting at $25 million. Bourtov is currently shortlisting brand partners.
“I look for reputation and prestige. A strong brand gives confidence that the product will meet the highest standards, both in design and lifestyle features,” says Bourtov, noting that service rates equally highly. “A reputable brand assures that the property will operate at the level expected of world-class hospitality.”
It’s a partnership that, executed well, works harmoniously for both parties. Residents get all the lifestyle benefits and investment potential of a globally recognized brand name. And for brands, residences are an immersive way to connect, and build deeper relationships, with customers and prospects.
